What we do
Choices supports women and their partners through unplanned pregnancy, with concerns following abortion, and gives practical and emotional help with parenting.
We provide counselling for women in prison, and we offer relationships courses. Find out more about our services below.
Unplanned Pregnancy Support
For some, unplanned pregnancy can feel like a crisis. When you have confusing thoughts and feelings, it isn’t easy to make a decision.
Choices offers a safe space for women and their partners to talk with a trained counsellor. The space we provide is non-judgemental, so that our clients can feel free to understand their options and make informed decisions.
Post Abortion, Miscarriage and Perinatal Counselling
For some people, abortion is an experience which becomes a painful part of their lives, even if they felt they were making the right decision at the time. Sometimes women struggle during pregnancy, as well. If you are experiencing any of these, or you have experienced a miscarriage and are struggling, you are not alone. Choices can offer you support.
Parenting Support
Parenting can be a joy, but it can also be a great challenge. At Choices we are passionate about supporting parents practically and emotionally.
Boutique
Many parents struggle to afford baby and children’s clothes and equipment. The Choices Boutique can help.
We receive donations of pre-loved clothing and equipment for babies and children so that other families who need these items can collect them for free.
Prison Counselling
Unplanned pregnancy. Miscarriage. Abortion. Stillbirth. Child separation. Adoption. Any of these events are difficult to cope with. It’s even harder if you are in prison.
Circle of Security Parenting Course
At times we all have anxiety about parenting: are we doing it right? Why are we making mistakes? Choices is offering the well-respected Circle of Security Parenting course, which will give you the tools to deal with all of these issues.
We are running multiple parenting courses throughout 2024.
