Our purpose is to provide a safe space for women and their partners to talk with a trained counsellor.

We provide honest and accurate information to help our clients make informed decisions around unplanned pregnancy. We provide a 90-minute session free of charge.

We also offer counselling for post abortion concerns. We offer a low-cost service and our support is confidential and discreet. We are a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).

Practical Parenting Support

Sometimes the practical side of childcare can feel too much.

Some of the women we speak to want to continue their pregnancy, but face difficult circumstances. We provide a free loan service for baby clothes and equipment called The Boutique. We also run a community mums group and one-to-one befriending sessions to reduce the stress of parenthood and maximise good outcomes for both mother and child. Find out more.

Relationship Education

Relationships and sex are rarely talked about openly and honestly, yet people today face more pressure than ever in this area, and often receive little advice or support.

Our education programme, the ‘I Am Project’, focuses on relationships and sexual health, with an emphasis on teaching self-respect to empower people to make healthy relationship choices. The ‘I Am Project’ gives people the chance to explore these issues in greater depth and equips and encourages them to pursue freedom and safety in relationships.

Working with Prisons

Dealing with unplanned pregnancy in prison requires extra support. Female offenders are also at higher risk of pregnancy loss or losing the care of their children.

Choices provides a counselling project for women in prison. Choice for Change helps women to handle their pregnancy and child losses or the pain of separation from their children in a healthy way and rebuild self-esteem. We also provide unplanned pregnancy support.

We currently operate at HMP Bronzefield and HMP Downview but are in the process of extending our work with prisons.
